After being fulltime minister in the Dutch Reformed Church (DRC) in South Africa for nearly 30 years (1980-2010), TC experienced Gods call to work as fulltime missionary in Tsabong in Botswana. Working alongside the DRC of Botswana, he is focusing on the local congregation, as well as the theological training of church leaders of the African Independent Church's. He is also working on establishing a satelite campus of the Kgologano Kollege on Tsabong for students from these churches. Before moving to Tsabong, TC spent 17 years of his ministry in the DRC in the DRC Hartswater, South Africa. In this congregation he witnessed the growth of a congregation from spiritual stuckness to a visionary church, focusing on making a difference in God's world. According to his testimony the presentation, on two occations, by dr Frans Hancke of his book "We are the plan" (as seminar), contributed to and enormously stimulated this change in the congregation in Hartswater. TC is promoting the material of thePLAN is a mighty instrument of the Holy Spirit to free the church from stuckness and moving the church to an agent of change in the community and the rest of God's world. He is convinced that DRC Hartwater's choice to stay connected with his ministry and sending him as their misionary to Tsabong, is a testimony of this change. TC is a co-worker of thePLAN. He is married to Linda and they have two sons and a daughter. |
